Vector pAdeno
Promoter CMV
Insert SIVgag251 (1065 - 1302 n.t.)
Organism Simian Immunodeficiency Virus
Accession # Q02843
Alias gag, Pr55Gag
Protein Family Belongs to the formin homology family. Diaphanous subfamily.
Functions Matrix protein p17 targets Gag and Gag-Pol polyproteins to the plasma membrane via a multipartite membrane binding signal, that includes its myristoylated N-terminus. Also mediates nuclear localization of the preintegration complex. Gag-Pol polyprotein and Gag polyprotein may regulate their own translation, by the binding genomic RNA in the 5'-UTR. At low concentration, Gag-Pol and Gag would promote translation, whereas at high concentration, the polyproteins encapsidate genomic RNA and then shut off translation.
Cell Types Ubiquitous
Protein Location Matrix protein p17
Titer 1x106pfu/mL
Storage DMEM with 2.5% glycerol
