Evaluating ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Lateral Flow Assay for SARS-CoV-2 Serologic Assays.

The SARS-CoV-2 outbreak has emerged at the end of 2019. Aside from the detection of viral genome with specific RT-PCR, there is a growing need for reliable determination of the serological status. We aimed at evaluating five SARS-CoV-2 serology assays.

Potassium dihydrogen phosphate promotes the proliferation and differentiation of human periodontal ligament stem cells via nuclear factor kappa B pathway.

Periodontal ligament stem cells (PDLSCs) are vital for the regeneration of periodontal tissues. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KHPO) has recently been applied as a component of the mineralization inducing medium (MM), which can be used to induce osteogenic differentiation of dental stem cells. However, whether KHPO has effects on PDLSCs has not been studied.

Expression and mutational status of c-kit in small-cell lung cancer: prognostic relevance.

The c-kit protein, also known as CD117, is a member of the type III receptor tyrosine kinase family. Kinase activity has been implicated in the pathophysiology of many tumors, including small-cell lung carcinoma (SCLC). Autocrine or paracrine activation of c-kit by its ligand has been postulated for lung cancer, but this receptor can also be activated by mutations of the c-kit gene. We examined c-kit expression and mutational status in SCLC to verify its putative expression and genetic alterations, as well as its eventual prognostic impact.
